QI VANGUARD FLEET / 6 NOVEMBER 2026

Weapons impact log

The Qi Vanguard Fleet’s meteoroid defence simulation records kinetic impact energy by vessel and the GENI-10 Outverse Shield’s response to debris.

109.2 kJEnergy transferred to the meteoroid in the simulation
7.95 kJDebris kinetic energy removed by the shields in the simulation
493 kWHighest simulated average power during a shield contact

Meteoroid defence simulation

The nominal scenario assigned one kinetic hit to each of 11 armed vessels. With 50% of the 218.4 kJ total hit energy transferred to the meteoroid, the model credited 109.2 kJ to the target. This exceeded the assumed 105 kJ breakup threshold and the meteoroid broke up in the simulation.

Concept illustration. The simulated intercept breaks up the meteoroid, and the GENI-10 Outverse Shield deflects nearby debris.
Assigned kinetic impact energy per vessel in the meteoroid simulation
VesselModelled hitsAssigned energy per hit
Zorak1100 kJ
Anorak150 kJ
Fronak150 kJ
Rekor, Ferko, Serko, Jetnok, Araknok, Zotno, Zuma and Zarek1 per vessel2.3 kJ each
The first ten hits contributed 59.2 kJ to the target and Zorak’s hit contributed 50 kJ. Weapon impact power in watts remains unreported because the scenario gives per-hit energy without a contact interval.

GENI-10 Outverse Shield response

In the simulation, Zorak repelled two fragments and Zuma and Rekor repelled one each. The model used shield boundaries of 6.5 m for Zorak and 2.0 m for the interceptors. It reversed each fragment’s motion and sent it outward at half its incoming speed.

Average power here is the reduction in a fragment’s kinetic energy divided by its contact interval. The shield’s electrical draw is unmeasured.

ZVIVector Interdiction System Included in the shared QIDP-R1 safety checks. Target response and duration, with transferred energy where applicable.
ZPD-IInterceptor Point Defence Array Included in the shared QIDP-R1 safety checks. Target energy and duration for a recorded engagement.
Kinetic Interceptor PodLimited kinetic element The scenario assigned 2.3 kJ to each interceptor hit. The hit record leaves the hardware configuration unspecified. Meteoroid model Pod configuration, energy transferred to the target and contact duration.
GENI-10 Outverse ShieldDebris deflection The model removed 7.95 kJ across four contacts. Zorak’s strongest contact averaged 493 kW over 12 ms. Shield contacts Fragment kinetic energy before and after contact, plus contact duration.
ZECMElectronic and decoy countermeasures Included in the shared QIDP-R1 safety checks. Countermeasure effectiveness from a dedicated test record.
WFCWeapon Fuse Chamber All 12 shared isolation topology checks passed in the model. Independent isolation feedback and measured trip timing.
Physical impact record. Record the vessel, system, configuration, test ID, instrument and uncertainty. For impact power, report transferred energy in joules and the corresponding interval in seconds. Their ratio gives mean power in watts. Peak power requires a calibrated trace over time. NIST SI units
